Sobeys Project:
Supermarket Refrigeration
The project involved installing an eco-friendly, sustainable, and highly efficient refrigeration system for the IGA supermarket in Saint-Basile-le-Grand. The goal was to create a system capable of recovering and redistributing the energy produced, thus ensuring the complete heating of the supermarket without the need for supplementary systems. To achieve this, we chose “double-stage” compressors operating with R22, accompanied by an energy recovery network.
This pioneering project quickly became a model for energy performance, with very low maintenance costs. The systems installed in 2001 continue to operate optimally today. What was once an innovative system met with skepticism is now an industry standard, adopted by the majority of our clients.
