Your mandate

The designer plays a crucial role in the product development process, designing and improving innovative products in close collaboration with research, engineering, sales and production teams. This profession requires an advanced understanding of market needs and emerging technologies to transform innovative ideas into viable products in the fields of refrigeration, thermal energy management and air treatment. The proposed challenges

  • Participate in and manage the entire new product development process;
  • Contribute to the company’s technology watch to stay ahead of market needs;
  • Design and develop new products in collaboration with the OEM engineering team;
  • Manage product development projects, starting with design and ending with product marketing;
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to generate the technical and marketing documentation required for market launch;
  • Analyze product performance to ensure a continuous improvement process;
  • Supervise the production of prototypes and carry out tests to ensure quality control;
  • Participate in the complete and detailed design of refrigeration and recovery systems;
  • Help draw up schematic diagrams of refrigeration, recovery, heating, air-conditioning and air-handling equipment;
  • Creation of material sheets and other required technical documents;
  • Follow-up of design details in collaboration with the 3D designer;
  • Follow-up of mechanical manufacturing with the workshop manager;
  • Request quotations for selected equipment, evaluate technical aspects of bids;
  • Validate shop drawings, equipment and ordered components according to design criteria;
  • Participate in the development of new internal development tools;
  • All other related tasks.

Required profile

Are you the person we’re looking for?

  • Experience in industrial refrigeration design;
  • Knowledge of Autocad software;
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks software (an asset);
  • Studies in building mechanics or mechanical engineering;
  • Fluency in spoken and written French;
  • Autonomy, organizational skills;
  • Ability to manage time and priorities;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Versatility and initiative;
  • Great interest in learning and curiosity;
